Journalism
Since 2000, I’ve done pretty much everything in journalism, from being a reporter, to a managing editor, to head of pagination.
An award-winning journalist and photographer, I've been fortunate enough to work at several different newspapers with some really talented and amazing people. I've worked at the Simcoe Reformer, Delhi News-Record. Woodstock Sentinel-Review, Tillsonburg News, Brantford Expositor, Norfolk News, Brant News, and The Sachem. I've also contributed to a MacLean's Magazine cover story in 2001 entitle Rink Rage.
After losing my job during the Postmedia and Metroland swap in 2017, my journalism career did not end, creating Smart Sports Podcast. In 2020 I quit my digital marketing job to launch Smart Sports Network, an all-local sports website.. Of course the launch came two weeks before the initial lockdown, so that dream was put on hold until July 2021.
Over the first six months SSN had over 800,000 sets of eyes on its platforms.
